Why the online price differs from the POS price

Discount Schedule (Access) and Products Maintenance (Products & pricing)

The website uses the same product prices and discount schedules as the POS, and its cart is priced the same way the POS prices a sale. When a shopper sees a different price, look at the settings below.

  • Hide from Ecom on the schedule. The website’s product list shows the regular price, but the cart still applies the sale.
  • Customer Groups on the schedule. A sale for some groups shows only to shoppers signed in to an account in one of those groups. A shopper who isn’t signed in sees the sales for your recreational customer group.
  • Applies to prices on the schedule. A schedule set to Price 1 skips customers whose group uses Price 2, online and at the POS. New schedules start on Price 1.
  • For Delivery Only on the schedule. These sales don’t show on the website’s product list.
  • Packaged before (aged) sales. The website’s product list goes by the oldest lot in stock at that store. When that lot sells out, the next lot can be too new for the sale, and the price goes back to regular.
  • Timing. The website’s product list is kept for up to 10 minutes, so a price or schedule change can take that long to show. A shopper with the page already open sees the old price until they reload it.
  1. In the menu, click Products, then Settings, then Discount Schedule.
  2. Click the schedule’s title. The list opens on Active. If the schedule isn’t there, click All.
  3. Check:
    • Schedule active is on.
    • Start Date and Finish Date cover today, and Schedule days and hours cover the time of the order.
    • Hide from Ecom is off.
    • Customer Groups is what you expect. All customers means everyone.
    • Applies to prices is Both, unless the sale is only for one price.
  4. At Head Office, click Save Changes and check the store is ticked in Apply for Stores, then click Ok. The store’s own list shows the schedule with (From HO) after the title.
  5. If all of that is right and the prices still differ, contact WAIO support. Send the store, the product’s SKU, the schedule’s title, when it happened, and a screenshot of the website cart.

For each setting, see Create a discount schedule.
